Interviews

We have had another busy week in Year 6.

Numeracy - We have been looking at number patterns, square numbers and using multiplication facts to help us find related division facts. Some of the investigations we have done were very difficult. Well done to Kara who managed to get everything correct today!

Literacy - This week we have started learning about Journalistic writing. We have read news reports and looked for who, what, when, where and why in the reports we have read. Yesterday we planned an interview and today we filmed them. They will be available to view on our Astronaut day. The classroom has been buzzing with excitement during the planning and filming.

No Pens Wednesday - We had great fun on Wednesday using no pens. We all created an invitation to our Astronaut day for our parents using letters from newspapers and magazines.

Poetry Party - On Thursday we had a poetry party with Year 4. We read the poems we had written to each other. It was good fun and we are hoping to do it again soon.

Next week we will be beginning to learn about Journalistic writing.

TopicThis week we have continued to learn about Space and prepare for our Apollo Mission. We researched planets in groups and presented this to each other.
