Dr Who, creative problem solving and Global Warming

This week in Numeracy we have been solving lots of creative problems. We have had to think carefully and use lots of stickability. Mrs Noble was very impressed with our stickability skills on Thursday and Friday, no one gave up!

In literacy we have been learning about the TV programme Dr Who. We have learnt about script writing, characters and settings. We will continue this next week when we will writing a three minute script in small groups. The best one will be sent to the BBC and entered into a competition.

We have continued with our topic research into Global Warming and will be filming our news reports on this issue next week.

We had a great Golden Time where we played with the toys from Year 2!! Look at the photos.

The Treginnis assembly will now take place on Thursday 26th May at 9am in the Main Hall. Apologies for it being cancelled this week as I was unwell.

Please visit the Southville Arts Trail this weekend as our watercolour paintings of Treginnis are on display.

SAT week

Apologies for not uploading the blog on Friday, the site was down.

Year 6 had a fantastic and positive attitude during SAT week and all the children were brilliant!

We did some detailed sketching of the school playground in the week. Mrs Christmas is going to display some of them in The Arts Trail at the weekend.

Hope to see lots of you at our assembly on Wednesday 18th May when we will be showing photos from Treginnis.

Treginnis and Revision!

Year 6 had a fantastic week at Treginnis Farm before the Easter Holidays. The weather was mostly kind to us! We will be showing our photos in Assembly on 18th May and parents are welcome to attend.

The last two weeks have been strange with bank holidays and the INSET day. We have been doing lots of revision to prepare for our SAT tests which take place next week.

During SAT week we will be creating a display about Treginnis to put up in the hall. Make sure you come and see it.
